Prove the quality of your product by using testimonials on your pages! |
The number of (digital) products sold on the web, is growing every day. This rapidly increasing market makes it harder and harder for everyone to make a decent profit. If you want your product to be sold, you will need to set it apart from the rest.
There are many ways to distinguish your product from the rest. One of the easiest way to do this is by adding recommendations and positive reviews to your pages.
When someone is looking to buy a product, he/she often seeks the opinion of someone else who has used the product, right? If you have testimonials from your previous customer presented on your website, you already have a head start on making the sale.
Positive testimonials help to establish your name; a good name. They can also create a feeling of trust; trust that many consumers go searching for before making an online purchase.
Now you're aware of the importance of using testimonials on your site, you're probably wondering how (and where) to get these testimonials.
Some tips:
• Many people think they've got to sell their product first, before they can receive any testimonials. This is not true! Think about giving away your product to a select number of people, in exchange for their testimonial.
• Use an autoresponder to follow up your sales. Make it send a message to your customers not too long after their purchase, in which you ask them for their testimonial
• Offer your customers a free gift in exchange for sending in their testimonial
• Add a link on your pages that will display a testimonial form when clicked
• Never make changes to a testimonial, nor invent one yourself.
• Always ask for permission to print the testimonials on your website
Once you have collected some customer testimonials, display them throughout your site, making sure they grab your potential customer's attention.
Like stated before, customer testimonials are a great way to prove the quality of your product. This will almost certain increase the number of sales you make. Aren't we all more willing to buy something when we know previous customers are happy with their purchase?
