Writing Matters
The most important aspect of any business is selling the product or service. Without sales, so business can exist for very long. Most businesses that fail whether online or offline do so because they are either unable to draw enough visitors or are unable to convert visitors into customers. To build sales, this advertising must be seen or heard by potential buyers, and cause them to react to the advertising in some way, ideally by purchasing the product. The credit for the success, or the blame for the failure of almost all ads, reverts back to the ad itself. Though, expectations from any form of advertising must be reasonable. The average conversion ratio for any product or services is usually in the range of 1-3%. This figure could sometimes be higher for new products that hit the market. Let's look at some of the basic aspects of Ad Writing. The Ad writers goals would typically be one of the following. 1. Get the prospect to visit the store to see and judge the product for himself, or immediately write a check and send for the merchandise being advertised. 2. Get curious and call for an appointment to hear the full sales presentation. The bottom line of every ad is to compel the prospect to take action and make a purchase or share contact information. An ad which doesn't get the prospect thinking is not doing it's job right. What's important is that the ad writer must know exactly what is expected from the prospect. Either to make a purchase or signup to an optin list. The simplest Ad writing formula is: 1) Attract the "attention" of the prospect. 2) Trigger "Interest" or "curiosity" in the product 3) Cause your prospect to "desire" the produt 4) And a "Call To Action". Never forget the basic rules of advertising. Most successful advertising copywriters know these fundamentals backwards and forwards. Whether you know then already or you're just now being exposed to them, your knowledge and practice of these fundamentals will determine the extent of your success as an advertising copywriter. One of the fastest and most effective forms of advertising is Pay Per Click. It's amazing to know that you can start seeing results in just a few minutes.
