Internet Marketing Is Definitely Mindset Before Knowledge |
If you think that going out and buying the new whiz-bang web page generator or downloading 600 new niche articles is going to make you a superstar on the Internet, please think again. I've been asked time and time again what it is that makes certain people a success on the Internet. Why some people make money online and why others just splash around like a fish out of water and never get anywhere. The truth of the matter is simple! Information is great, knowledge is awesome, but information without implementation is USELESS. So many people get online, register a domain name with Godaddy or whoever, buy some web hosting, put a page together with Frontpage and then slap it on the web and sit back waiting for the big bucks to roll into their Paypal account. What happens then? They make no cash, blame their Mum, Dad, cat, dog and their pet snake, but never look at WHY they need to look at themselves and their action (or lack of actions) first! Going to an Internet Marketing Summit is just the same. I remember when I was speaking at the World Internet Summit in Los Angeles in 2005, I asked the attendees this question: "Who wants me to give them something to take home, you just need to add water, and all of a sudden you start making bucket-loads of cash. Who wants the David Cavanagh magic blue pill for making money on the Internet to take home tonight?" You know how many hands went up? The ENTIRE audience of attendees raised their hands! Some of them even clapped and laughed. You need to treat your internet business as a BUSINESS, and not as a part-time hobby, otherwise you'll NEVER make any money online. Take all the guaranteed gems you get from friends, seminars, articles, books, videos, cds and grab the USEFUL information and put it into action immediately. Don't sit around wishing, hoping, praying and procrastinating about whether things will work or not. Go out and just do it! This is the ONLY WAY for you to learn from your mistakes so you can improve on them the next time around. When I teach internet marketing to my online coaching students I always stress that they need to have a go, get out there and do something, focus on what the customer wants, and not what they want to push down the customers throats. Give the customer what the customer wants, and the customer will give you exactly what you wanted in the first place. And that's usually money in the bank for you... after all, it's not rocket science! Then you will be on your way to making money on the Internet.
