So, you've decided it was time to take the plunge. Everyone you know is either working from home, or attempting to, and there's no reason you shouldn't be a part of it right? Well, not to burst your bubble, but let me be the first to tell you - YOU'RE DESTINED TO FAIL!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you will, I even hope that I'm completely wrong about this, but the numbers just don't lie. You see, in this country, roughly 95 out of every 100 people who attempt a home based business will never see ANY income from their venture. In fact, most people who purchase a "turn-key" business, will not even bother to take the time to read the materials provided.
I know, I know... You're already thinking of the nasty names to call me and formulating in your mind what kind of things to post as comments here, but before you go there, please hear me out. The reason most people fail miserably at their home based business is NOT their fault. They had no other options. Think about it... From the time we were children, and all of our lives since then, we were never taught how to be independently successful. We were taught that in order to be successful, we needed to get good grades in school, study hard, go to college, study hard. And hopefully, if all of that went well, we could what? That's right ladies and gentlemen - Hopefully we would get a GREAT JOB. Then, if we really worked hard at it, maybe we would get promoted. You know, maybe even become MANAGEMENT!
Well I don't know about you, but the three things in life I really needed to know are the things I had to learn the hard way - by screwing them up terribly! Just thinking back, if someone had taught me 1- How to make REAL money, 2- How to change a diaper, or 3- How to get along with a spouse. Who knows, maybe life would be different and I wouldn't be sitting here rambling on to whomever might stumble across this site.
Hurts doesn't it? It should. Not only that, you should really be mad that in this, the year 2007, we are still teaching our children from day 1, that's it's OK to get a job. Not only are we preparing them for mediocrity, we are quickly draining all of the resources (IE: pension funds, Social Security, etc.) that they may have to rely on at the end of their mediocre lives! (Note: What are YOU going to do to change?)
On top of the fact that we are totally unprepared for success, we now have SO many things going on in our lives that require our attention, we just don't have TIME to fit in one more thing. However, rather than suck it up and get it done, it's much easier to blame our failure on something else. Oh, don't start in on me... We've all said it at one time or another... (Everyone together now...) THIS PROGRAM IS A SCAM, ALL I DID WAS WASTE MY MONEY AND NOT SEE ANY RETURN! See, I knew you'd heard that somewhere before.
Before we get any further...
Let me start by telling you that if you're looking for the one-click-fix for your business, I don't have it. If you're looking for the 100% completely automated "sit in the kitchen in your underwear while everyone throws money at you" business opportunity, it's not here. If you're looking for sympathy for all of the money you've spent in the past and not seen results, call your mom. (I don't care.)
However, if you're willing to look in the mirror to the reasons you haven't been successful. If you want to know what it truly takes to "make it" in your own business. If you want someone to FINALLY tell the truth about all of those "biz-op" programs, business-in-a-box, marketing and advertising, etc...., then look no further. We're going to get along just fine.
I will tell you up front that I will always be BRUTALLY honest, straight forward in how I address issues, and most likely will, at some point, either hurt your feelings or piss you off. I have a HUGE problem with "political correctness" and I have a tendency to speak WELL before my "brain filter" kicks in. I do however, feel that if given the right training, motivation, and support, that anyone, yes EVEN YOU, can be highly successful in any business they choose to get involved in.
Over the next few weeks, months, and hopefully even years, I look forward to sharing my thoughts and views about business and life in general with you and I hope you'll be interested enough to come along. I'll never claim to have all the answers, but I will tell you that from what I've been fortunate enough to experience in my life so far, you'll at least be in for an adventure. I've seen more than my fair share of both failures and success in all areas of my life, and I wouldn't trade my experience for anything in the world.
